Can't join blob alliances because:
a) Too many work and family commitments. Unpredictable ones, too. Can't commit to spending uninterrupted hours in fleet (waiting for form-up, getting to destination, having camp-outs at gates, etc. etc.)
b) In a bureaucracy in RL, don't want to be in one ingame-- unless I'm at the very top of it!
c) Bad bladder (it's a long story). Need frequent bio breaks, fleets leave me behind.
d) Cat aggro. Dog too, recently.
e) Being on voice comms interferes with running my mp3 playlist.
f) Running around as a neut solo in SOV space is too fun!

True. And one fearless guy (who can identify himself here or not) has been in the game just long enough to run Level 3 missions... and do anoms deep in Goon space. |

Public service announcement:
Since this thread is still being actively bumped (unfortunately mostly just to slam Harry), I'd like to confirm that we bears are still active and shooting in Goon space. We've more or less moved from Phase One (Say Hello to VFK in Destroyers) to Phase Two (Bob-Ombs Away, Wherever the Hunting's Good). That happened informally btw, with no formal group planning or 'orders from the top.' It just happened as people got more SPs and learned the lay of the land during Phase One.
Extra intel - Highsec players, we're seeing more Goon camps on the pipeline directly from highsec to VFK. Alternate destinations or routes are recommended. Come on in, people are having fun, solo or in small groups. |

Not so much in the game, but they do in forums. Usually the avatar and the attitude/content of the post kind of match. Check it out some time. |

BTW people are mostly killing haulers and the occasional cruiser now. Those are just the ones I know of, of course. Not everybody phones home with their kills. Actually most don't. |

Yeah, I can hear the "Psshaw, haulers" playlist spooling up already. Try it yourself guys, solo as a neut in null. Anyway it's just a stepping stone along the way. |
